About us

INDIA, LET’S GATHER AGAIN.

THE FOUNDER - ANIKA DHAWAN

Anika Dhawan founded Rani Pink in 2015 with a love for beautiful things, old stories, and the extraordinary ways in which India celebrates. Her world has always been shaped by the details of Indian life - the homes we grew up in, the people who filled them, the objects we inherited, and the rituals that brought everyone together. Over the years, her work has taken her through the many worlds of Indian craft, architecture, textiles, gardens, family traditions and celebrations. She believes that some of the most beautiful ideas are found in the most ordinary moments, if only we remember to look closely enough. Through Rani Pink, Anika continues to explore this very personal relationship between memory, design, and the art of gathering.

Rani Pink - The Creative Design House

Rani Pink began in 2015 as a creative design house, bringing together storytelling, art, craft, and imagination to create extraordinary weddings and celebrations. Over the last decade, Rani Pink has designed gatherings across India and beyond, each with its own distinct world, visual language, and sense of occasion. From intimate family ceremonies to grand celebrations, our work has always been about much more than decoration. We are interested in the stories behind a celebration, the families who bring it to life, and the small details that make an occasion unforgettable. Rooted in Indian culture yet wonderfully open to the world, Rani Pink is known for its distinctive approach to celebrating people, places, and the many ways in which we come together.

Rani Pink - Stories & Objects

After a decade of designing celebrations, we began thinking about all the other ways in which India gathers. Not just at weddings, but around dining tables, in drawing rooms and courtyards, on terraces, under old mango trees, and in homes where the door is always open to one more guest. The afternoon card parties, the family picnics, the elaborate Diwali evenings, the Sunday lunches, the impromptu cups of chai that turn into hours of conversation. These are the gatherings that have shaped our lives, and the ones we hope will continue to shape the lives of generations to come.

Rani Pink - Stories & Objects is our way of celebrating this wonderful culture of coming together. Through collections of thoughtfully imagined objects, we revisit the stories, traditions, materials, colours, and everyday rituals of Indian life. Each collection begins with a story, and each object carries a little something of that world into the present. We are not interested in recreating the past, but in remembering what made it so special and finding new ways to live with it today

We hope to build a living archive of Indian gatherings - one that is curious, generous, personal, and always growing. A world of beautiful objects, familiar memories, unexpected discoveries, and many more reasons to bring people together without occasion and reason.

India, let’s gather again.
